In the cheerful celebration of birth,
In the sombre silence of death,
In all the wavy walks of life,
You stood firmly by my side.
When with victorious laurels,
I was surrounded,
When with contemptuous sneers,
were my nights haunted,
All throughout, you lent your support,
Without a pause.
Your unconditional love,
Never needed a cause.
Forsaking your own comforts,
You came to guide me along.
Shepherding my life's ship,
You never steered me wrong.
And upon that time,
when I felt all alone,
It's cause, you were to me,
Quite unknown.
And as soon as, in my life,
I realized your role.
I felt you in my body,
My mind, my soul.
