The stupendous mountain

Mountain, O Mountain!
You forever urge me on,
Still resounding in your valley,
Is a deep awakening mystic call.
As I slouch back at my home,
I keep hearing your beckoning call,
Leaving all I rush in your,
Open wide extended arm.
Flowing down that brook doth sing,
A sweet melodious ethereal song,
Enchanted by its hum I float,
In an ocean of blissful calm.
Hidden in your bosom lies,
Elements of the strangest types,
In your deep dark dungeons stay,
Creatures of most varied kinds.
Your snowy glacial mountain tops,
Are our precious water pots.
On the banks of rivers that rise,
Has dwelled humanity from historic times.
