The wait..

Her eyes followed the receding waves,

As she watched him vanish towards the distant horizon.

And yet she stood by, waiting patiently,

For he had solemnly sworn to return.

Yonder lies my destination!

Steerman, O Steerman, take me to the yonder point!
Ahead lies my destination,
Unknown to me are the directions,
In You I solely trust to steer me right,
O Steerman, do take me to my destined point!

पुष्पांजल

ज़रा खिलजा तू, उस नीले-नीले अम्बर के तले 
अपने पंख खोल कर ज़रा उड़जा तू किअम्बर भी हो तेरे कदमों तले |

Translation -
May you blossom to your fullest,
Under the shades of that crystal blue sky.
And open up your wings to fly so high
That you'll soar even higher than that radiant blue sky!

Light and dark!

This world is a cosmic play of light and shadows.

When what will dominate, no one knows.

Just keep your eyes on the destination and try to remain steady on it's flow.

Don't let life stress you out, take a deep breath and enjoy the show!

Spring is calling, Get on Get going!

In your warm welcome, I have outlaid,

this flowery carpet that for only you I've made.

With the cool shades of green I have covered all way,

So what reasons do you have now to stay away?

Good begets good

Fill your heart with so much love,
That even if it breaks, 
It will outpour so much love,
That'll wipe off others heartaches.

Inspiring sunsets

डूबते सूरज से सीखो कि सवेरा फिर आएगा,

यहाँ नहीं सही तो कहीं और उदित होकर छायेगा |

Translation -

The setting sun teaches that the morning will be back ones more.

It will keep on shining some place, even though here, it may remain obscure!

क्या है हक़ीकत और क्या कल्पना, है ये किसीको नहीं ध्यान|

Translation-
In the depths of this mirror is reflected the whole wide world,
Now who is to know what is fantasy and what is real?

Rains

आयी प्यारी वर्षा आयी
उमस भरी गरमी में राहत 
मेरे मन की असली चाहत 
झुलसे खेतों की हरियाली 
तपते आसमां की काली 
सड़कों पर बनकर वह लहरें 
ताल तल्लैय्या गहरे गहरे 
आयी प्यारी वर्षा आयी |

सर्वत्र जीवन का संचार
नयी उमंग का है फैलाव 
पवन में मादकता होती है 
ह्रिदय में हलचल बढ़ जाती है 
पहाड़ी नदियां कल-कल करती 
तीव्र गति से आगे बढ़ती |
आयी प्यारी वर्षा आयी |

सावन में अमराई लाती 
इंद्रधनुष के रंग फैलती 
माटी में सोंधी महक उठती 
फूल खिलाती डाली-डाली 
नए-नए यह द्रिष्य दिखाती 
व्रिक्षों पर कोंपल खिल आती |
आयी प्यारी वर्षा आयी |

The big bang!

Consciousness remained silent for long,

Until the beats of the damru played an ethereal song.

And lo and behold, wave after wave, the creation sprouted,

In the Divine's imagination, the existence of infinite rooted.

Whilst vivid colors of dazzling beauty enamoured all souls,

Each picturing themselves in a different role,

From whence they came, became forgotten to all souls,

Thence, remained hidden the fact that all were parts of one stupendous whole!

The hills are alive with the sound of music!

There it stood with open arms,

Luring me in with its enchanting psalms.

So, from its exalted summits, I took a leap of faith,

Thence in its calm greens, my soul freely bathed!

Drawn towards it clarion call, 

From my bosom, my heart fled away,

On its ethereal melodious tune, 

It just wished to dance and play!

And now along with those meandering shadows, 

My soul wanders too,

And with its every heaving breath resonates

My heart beats too!

Base of life

Layer over layer I lay,
To create a taller tower,
Yet no matter how high I make,
I wish it were even higher.

All size and shape and grain, I try,
Tirelessly I seek, my perfect base.
But never it seems my find would be so big,
that would finally put an end to this chase.

A cruel art balancing it seems, 
is this eternal play,
As time just casually ticks past, 
without even a moments stay.

So, forever the question remains, 
What is it that you would pick?
Would you head out to horizon and seek some more,
or with whatever you've got, you'd just stick?

Determination

Tear apart through the surrounding darkness,

Like the new dawn, rise.

With such power let your light so spread,

That all the sleeping hearts, will revitalize!

For all lost souls, let this light,

 like a bouyant bright beacon shine,

Following it, they'll find that way,

the one that leads to the divine.

Earth for all, No plastic anymore

Individual takes many resolutions each year,

We urge the humanity to take one together,

To promise not to use the plastic anymore,

Stopping the suffocating deaths of our kins, for sure!

“That hard it is and possible its not”,

Such merge cries so suit you not.

For the resolutions of humans have stood the test of time,

By keeping their promises, oft they have the future redefined.

Earthlings we are all, a purpose to keep,

“Living to die” is the purpose of the meek.

The mark of our lives, we all leave behind,

Don’t let that thought ever casually slip off your mind.

Our dearest ones, 

Yet to come, 

Following that mark, will find their way,

So leave them a mark that won’t lead them, 

To an impending dooms day.

Remember, Remember,

A duty you have, a promise to keep,

And breaking it just isn’t an option, 

For the price to pay is to way too steep!

Dandelions

Dandelion sweet dandelion,

You bring great joy to all!

Heralding the arrival of the spring season

As the long winter draws to an end at last,

Your golden flowers shine like bright beacons

Against the canvas of the green grass.

And even when your golden petals fade,

For your furball's arrival, I still await

For when with their wings on the spring breeze they float away

Millions of tiny dandelions sprout all along my walkway!

The Wild wild west!

Deep within those wild west woods,
Lies hidden the treasured green gold.
Over its bewitching beauty I lost my soul,
For it was such a serene sight to behold!

And oft when on my couch I lay,
Those tyndall flashes afore my eyes so play,
That back in those woods, I often find myself,
Ever deeper in its wilderness always trying to delve!

My thirst for the Infinite

Staying in the shadows, I seek the light.
Reaching the light, I still cannot find respite.
For these mysterious waves of knowledge never stay still,
Laying back I find myself, drifting towards the world, that the shadows fill.

So where is that zenith, that I seek day and night?
And why it so often that it lurks out of sight?
For no sooner do I give up the hope of ever reaching it,
Than it rekindles my fading hope by showing me, a teasing glimpse.

Nature's colorful Holi!

My heart skipped a beat when the setting sun sprayed,

on all the surroundings, vibrant colors of every shade.

Silhouetted against its colorful canvas, the landscape posed,

Breathtakingly beautiful were even the nature's merest shadows!

There I transfixedly gazed at its pristine beauty,

All bathed in colors by the touch of one round ruby,

My restless mind rushed after its very last ray,

to discover that land where it went to always hide away!

To Fellow Travellers

Mysterious is the path, the destination is unknown,

Not even those who've travelled it, could tell you where it goes. 

Such is life, unending is its flow.

Misleading might be a few turns but none would for all eternity, condemn its course.

Fools are those who set great store by their fate, 

For unpredictable it is, even to the scholars-great!

When upon a turn, the clear path fades away,

Opportune is the time to try out a new way!

Then what are you waiting for, let's head out,

Hope is bubbling in the hearts, no time like now!

Goodnight and sweet dreams!

As He slowly dimmed the lights,
Little ducklings bade goodnight.
Tomorrow, I said, come 'n meet again
With new dreams and new tales to tell.
And together we shall laugh 'n play
Until the end of yet another day.

Find the beauty even in the fading light,

The stars shine brighter in a moonless night.

Don't waste your time, measuring the burden of your plight,

Every moment is a gift, fill them with delight!
